Hey guys, It's been a while huh? You're probably wondering what's with the updates lately, and what's happening from here.

Last week I was pulled into an intense art project that took me away from doing any Shiharai. Unfortunately I can't show you guys any of that stuff right now. But basically I did over forty hours of artwork in about three days. I woke up and did art straight through the day until it was time for bed. It's one of the largest projects I've undertaken in such a short time - it was fun - but I think it burned me out.

Ever since I finished that, I've fallen into one of the worst artist blocks I have ever had. Getting around to drawing comic pages, inking, toning, texting is extremely hard for me - and when I can force myself to do it, they turn out terrible. And terrible results make me feel even worse. I can't get myself to finish things and there's no enthusiasm for it. I don't even doodle now.

It's so bad that drawing is almost painful for me - that's never happened before - and it's scary.

I mean, I know I'll get back to my old grind eventually, but it really worries me. If I get burned out so easily, when another big project comes around, won't it just happen again? Maybe I'm not quite so ready for the big world like I thought I was. I don't want this to happen over and over again. Before now, doing too much artwork just wasn't possible for me.

So anyways, I hope that explains what's been going on with me lately.


I apologize for the wait - and for the fact that the current pages are done so terribly and remain untoned. I hope you guys can understand and not judge me too hard right now.

I will try to keep up the three pages a week - I'm hoping that if I can just plow through this next week or so I'll be able to break through the block. Just realize that the pages might be terrible, untoned, with a lackluster ink job until I get through this. If anything, you don't need to worry about me dropping the comic. It's something I intend on finishing.

Scroll of Juyon is a comic/manga consisting of two different books: Shiharai and Black Dawn. These two books are closely intertwined with eachother and we suggest you read both in order to get the depth of the storyline.

Summaries
shiharai, The book that you are viewing today is about seven girls who are forced to travel different worlds to collect ' payments' for the Space-Time Witch Yuuko--A strange, wish granting character from the manga xxxHolic. While all they really want is to get home, they must face the dangers and exciting adventures of various worlds while avoiding a group of mysterious guys that seem to be following them. And they're not the tall dark and handsome kind either . . .

Black Dawn, the sister book, is about the adventures of Seth back at home. When he discovers that his girlfriend has gone missing, he goes on a search to find her and her friends. The only problem is: No one seems to remember them.
